18TH September 1984: KV AFS Makarpura Baroda started in a building sponsored
by Air force.
March 2001: First batch of XII Commerce passed out.
June 2005: Vidyalaya shifted to it’s own campus.
March 2006: First batch of XII Science passed out.

This site is designed to be the open forum for Kendriya Vidyalaya, AFS, Vadodara's very big family including students, their parents and all the staff members amongst others.

GENESIS :

Kendriya Vidyalaya, AFS, a co-educational institute has carved a niche for itself among Vadodara’s educational institutions by growing into one of the finest educationalmain_ima02 centers in a very short span. Today it stands as one of the most preferred institutions owing to its excellent educational standards and the most dedicated and synergized staff.

Acquiring an eight roomed building from Air Force and taking over their station primary school on 18th Sept. 1984, it proliferated into a full fledged school having classes from I to XII with Science and Commerce stream at senior secondary level. The new Vidyalaya building is situated in 10 acres of land.

Consorted efforts of KV staff and Air Force authorities have steered the Vidyalaya to the present height and fame.

OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS :

>> Academics : Sterling attainments and excellence have become integral and inherent traits of this Vidyalaya. Almost all the students who passed out XII in the previous years got admissions in various prestigious professional colleges.

>> Others : The children are encouraged to participate and have excelled in various competitions, viz, quiz, debates, flower arrangements, drawing, essay writing, dance etc conducted by KVS and outside agencies.

Celebrations :

We celebrate with immense joy and enthusiasm, all the national festivals viz. Independence day, Republic day, Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti.

Our annual celebrations include Annual day, Sports day, KVS Foundation day, National Integration day, Human Rights Day, Teachers day, Sardar Patel Jayanti and Children’s day etc. with due local cultural flavour, whenever feasible.

GENERAL INFORMATION :

The Vidyalaya is one of the hundreds of the pace setting Kendriya Vidyalayas run in India and abroad by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan an autonomous body formed in 1964 by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

Being affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, the Vidyalaya prepares pupils for All India Secondary School Examination and All India Senior School Certificate Examination.

Session :

The academic session is from 1st April to 31st March of the next year.

Medium :

The instruction is imparted through the medium of Hindi and English with an aim to enable the pupil to achieve reasonable measure of proficiency in both the languages.

Examination :

The Vidyalaya holds the following tests and examination (1) Unit Tests – July, Sept., Jan. (2) Cumulative test – Nov (3) Annual Examination – March. Evaluation of the students of classes 1 and 2 is continuous and comprehensive with no test/exam for them.

1 Prospectus/Registration form: Rs.100/-
2 Admission Fee: Rs.25/-
3 Re-admission fee: Rs.100/-
4 Fee must be deposited by 15th of every quarter in bank. Late fee fine will be charged @ Rs.5/- per day for VVN and S F separately from 16th to the last working day of the month. Name will be struck off on the last working day of the month.
5 Concession in Tuition Fee in case of two or more brothers studying in this KV will be applicable as per KVS rules.
6 No fee will be accepted by the bank after 15th of the month concerned and after 15th the fee along with fine will be deposited in the Vidyalaya.
